Hi, I'm Vicky and I'm addicted to Op Shopping.

There’s nothing anonymous about this though I’ve been pretty loud and proud about my love affair with op shops for over a decade now.  My love for all things secondhand probably dates back to visiting car boot sales with my parents in the grounds of Tintern Abbey on cold Sunday mornings in rural Wales as a child.

I began posting about my op shopping adventures in and around Melbourne on my Facebook page and a few years later opened a group so other op shoppers and op shops could mingle in an online community space dedicated to our love of secondhand shopping.  Look at it now!  This little community space is now 100,000 strong celebrating our circular economy. I’m also a bit of a camera shy introvert, a mum to three amazing boys, partner to Mark and failed foster human to two fluffballs called Alexis Moonface and David Everest (I was watching a lot of Schitt’s Creek when they were born at home during lockdown).

I Love To Op Shop has evolved over the years from a passion I have to support and advocate for more sustainable shopping choices and to make my shopping votes count.  I talk about some of the following topics:

  • op shopping (had to point out the obvious first)
  • charities
  • vintage
  • upcycling and recycling
  • secondhand shenanigans
  • you’ll also find the odd few personal posts, cat antics and my love of Melbourne.

If you’d like to get in touch please head to the contact page and I’ll get back in touch as soon as I can.

I’m also available for relevant collaboration work, sponsored posts and social media support.
