Brisbane op shoppers another great one for your thrifty diaries! The Lifeline Bookfest is coming back on June the 6th to 9th at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It’s Queensland’s largest sale of preloved books and is attended by thousands looking to quench their literary thirst. It’s fundraising for Lifeline’s Crisis Support Line which operates 24/7.
You can expect over 4km of tables, yes you read that right, 4km of tables selling a massive array of books to suit all readers.
There will also be magazines, puzzles, DVDs, CDs, vinyl and board games on sale.
Prices start from as little as $1!!
- Bring strong bags with you. As you leave one section your books will be bagged so volunteers know they have been paid for but you’re bound to buy more than you expect so bring some good quality shopping bags with you just in case.
- They have thought of everything! Trolley will be available to hire for a gold coin donation, I know I’d donate to avoid arm ache!
- Wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water.
