Money Saving Monday

Hi all

Monday check in!

I’ve reached out to a few new  businesses this week whilst I’ve had some spare time.  The spare time has been nowhere near what I’d hoped though with remote learning happening here for a grade 1, grade 5 and a three year old joining in.  It’s a juggle but hoping we’ve smoothed out some kinks at home and our amazing teachers have been brilliant.  My three year old has appeared in at least four uninvited zoom sessions.

How are you travelling? (Or not travelling as the case is with a lot of us!)

Any high points or low points of last week?

Anyway, here’s a few ILTOS community offers for you, I hope you enjoy them!  I’m still getting my confidence up and approaching some fabulous businesses that I’m really keen to help and support.

Please drop me a comment or email if you’d like me to reach out to a business to take part in another Money Saving Monday post.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained I say!

Transparency Note: Bear in mind that some of the links in the Money Saving Monday posts will be affiliate links and if you go through them to make a purchase I will earn a commission. Keep in mind that I post about these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I may receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.

There is also a Freebies section at the bottom.

Milk and Mischief – Small Batch Soapery

Sarah is a Sydney based soap maker and Milk & Mischief celebrates her  love for all-natural skincare products.

All of her soaps are homemade in small batches using the traditional cold process method, allowing the soap to naturally cure for four to six weeks.  She uses all-natural colourants, essential oils, and at least 40% extra virgin olive oil.

She’s offering a deal for the I Love To Op Shop community where we can purchase four of her beautiful soap bars for $25 instead of the regular price of $34 by entering the code OPSHOP.

Thank you so much Sarah!

Check out the range she has at

Offer ends May 31st!

I thought I’d include a few freebies I’ve seen recently too, money is tight for most of us so I thought these offers might brighten someone’s day up!  I’d love you to tell me about more you’ve seen below for next week also.

Audible Stories

Amazon has opened up Audible Stories for free whilst schools are closed.

“They offer a mix of education, entertainment, and general-interest titles, from the classic to the contemporary, with a focus on stories that are suitable for children. The collection includes favorites like Winnie the Pooh, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Aladdin, Jane Eyre and The Call of the Wild.”

You need to have an Amazon account to take part but after signing up you can listen for free.

Cards Against Humanity – Family Edition

Yes a family edition has been released and it’s free!

“Cards Against Humanity: Family Edition is a new fill-in-the-blank comedy game that’s just like Cards Against Humanity, but it’s written for kids and adults to play together.”

You can print it off at home or use the Officeworks printing service, I think they also offer delivery if preferred (not free of course).
