Vinnies in Western Australia has announced via their Facebook page here that they will be reopening six of their stores which were closed due to Covid-19 concerns.
The following stores will reopen on Thursday 7 May
- Halls Head
- Kalamunda and
- Bunbury Denning Road.
They will be taking extra precautions to safety of staff, volunteers and customers which include changes in opening hours.
Stores will open from Tuesday to Saturday 11am – 4pm. Please check in advance though if making a trip as these may be subject to change for each location.
There will be floor signage marked to maintain social distancing is followed.
The number of customers in-store at one time will be limited.
There will be hand sanitiser for staff, volunteers and every customer on entering a shop
Please try to assist them by using contactless/EFTPOS which is the preferred form of payment
They will begin accepting donations which are then quarantined for three days before being sorted by staff and volunteers.
We understand many families are in need of warmer clothing and will ensure each shop is fully stocked with Winter gear. Recipients of our Emergency Assistance program with clothing vouchers are encouraged to come in-store to clothe their families for Winter.

I know many of us are looking to support our wonderful op shops and prefer buying secondhand for environmental and financial reasons. In such trying times many more will now be relying on them across Australia.
